The City Council of Avilés, through Julio Carretero, commissioned us to take aerial photographs at low altitude of the impressive Oscar Niemeyer International Cultural Centre, which will be inaugurated on the 26th in the Asturian city.
The only possibility to make this report was with the help of a helium balloon and one of our remote control aerial photography systems, as the Centre is located in the centre of the city of Avilés. A light aircraft can only fly over populated areas at a height of 500 metres, which is too great a distance to get the required detailed photographs.
These spectacular aerial photographs were taken with a 3.6 metre tethered balloon (which only carries 3 m3 of helium inside).
